Tasting Moderator: Manuel Malfeito

Manuel Malfeito Ferreira is an Associate Professor at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, University of Lisbon, where he teaches subjects on Wine Microbiology, Wines and Gastronomy, and Food Microbiology. His research activity is mainly focused on the microbiology of wine spoilage and consumer wine preference studies. He organizes and teaches introductory courses to the world of wines, where he presents, along with tasting initiation, a cultural perspective to understand the world of wine, which he calls “Enosophy.” He is the co-author of the popular science book “Mastering the Art of Enjoying Wine, from Enology to Enosophy.”
